Gender equality The debate on gender equality has today become a subject at the heart of Christian, ethical and democratic values and is gaining more and more audience and visibility throughout the world. First promoted by feminist theologians, it starts from a distorted conception of equality between the sexes and a desire to "liberate" the individual from any normative framework given by nature, tradition, revelation and God himself.
